Custody & Delivery

Physical completion, confirmed per transaction.

Collection, delivery and third-party custody enquiries are assessed separately.

There are three ways physical bullion leaves a Dubai trade desk: collection in person, controlled delivery to a destination, or transfer into third-party custody. Each is assessed as a separate enquiry from the metal quotation itself, because each depends on parties and terms outside the metal transaction. None is confirmed until the route, the provider and the release terms are agreed in writing.

Dubai collection

Reviewed subject to onboarding, product confirmation and agreed release terms.

The most direct route. Metal is released at the Dubai trade desk against cleared settlement, to an authorised representative identified during onboarding. Bring the identification recorded in the corporate file — release is to the named representative, not to the bearer of a reference number.

Controlled delivery

Assessed by destination, provider acceptance, insurance and signed terms.

Handled as a separate enquiry from the metal itself. Feasibility turns on the destination, whether a carrier will accept the route and value, the insurance scope available for that corridor, and the documentation the destination jurisdiction requires. Confirm the route before committing to a delivery date.

Third-party custody

Provider, allocation, fees and release terms are confirmed separately.

Where metal is to remain in storage rather than move. The material questions are whether holdings are allocated and segregated or pooled, what the fee basis is, what audit and reporting you receive, and how quickly you can take release or transfer. These are settled with the custodian under their own terms.

What determines the route

Physical completion is quoted separately from metal
The premium on a bar covers the metal and its fabrication. Movement, insurance and storage are priced separately, by the parties providing them. A quotation for metal is not a quotation for getting it somewhere.
Format affects handling more than most buyers expect
A single cast kilo bar and the same fine weight in small minted bars carry different handling, packaging and insurance profiles. Where the metal has to travel, the format decision and the logistics decision are the same decision.
Destination rules govern, not intention
Import documentation, declaration thresholds and permitted carriage differ by jurisdiction and change. This site does not provide customs, tax or legal advice; confirm the position for your destination with your own advisers before a route is fixed.
Release follows settlement, without exception
Physical release happens after settlement clears. Verify any change to payment instructions directly with an approved company contact before transferring funds — instruction-change fraud is the most common attack on wholesale metal settlement.

Physical completion is confirmed as part of the wider requirement — see how an RFQ becomes confirmed terms, or review the delivery and custody terms.
